The Dalles Chronicle, March  30, 2005
     Fred W. Frazer, 84, died on March 22, 2005, in The Dalles. 
     He was born on Jan. 10, 1921, in Underwood, Wash., the son of Fred R. 
Frazer and Myrtle M. Frazer.
     Following his graduation from Columbia Union High School in 1938 he 
enlisted in the Army in 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1944.
     He married Eva Ziegler in Vancouver, Wash., June 18, 1943, and lived in 
Underwood 63 years before moving to White Salmon in 1984. He was self-employed 
as an orchardist for 20 years. He worked for Broughtons Lumber Co. for 21 
years.
     He loved to work. He enjoyed his yard, reading, walking, helping 
neighbors and others that were in need.
     He volunteered at the KSDC Food Bank, making up food baskets, sacking 
produce, and assisting the elderly. He delivered meals for Senior Services. He 
also drove seniors to medical appointments. In his lifetime he donated 
eighteen gallons of blood.
     Survivors include his wife, Eva, White Salmon; sons Ray, Tom and Tim, 
White Salmon; and Joe, Lyle; daughters Carol Remsen, Lake Oswego; Evelyn 
Cochenour, Lyle; sister, Jessie Zweigart, Canby; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-
grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and 
nieces. 
     He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Terri and Mary Frazer, 
sisters Frances Savage and Blanche McCrumb, and a brother Charles Donaldson.
     Graveside services will be held at the Underwood Cemetery at noon on 
Saturday, April 9, with Pastor Bill Zweigert presiding. Arrangements are by 
Columbia Cremation & Burial.
