The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 20, 1983
     Petronilla Louise Fitzgerald, 85, a resident of The Dalles since 1967 and 
formerly a longtime resident of the Seattle area, died Oct. 11 at a local 
nursing home.
     She was born May 10, 1889 in Harper, Iowa.
     She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the National 
Association of Retired Teachers.  She was a graduate of the University of 
Washington and had been in the education field for 47 years and an art teacher 
in the Seattle public school system.
     Survivors include three brothers, Richard Fitzgerald, Seattle, Ed 
Fitzgerald, The Dalles, and Roger Fitzgerald, Spokane, Wash.; three sisters, 
Josephine Huston, Springfield, Ill.; Leonilla F. Fitzgerald, Burlingame, 
Calif.; and Helen Marie Kolb, Spokane, and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Recitation of the rosary was Oct. 13 at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home.  The mass of Christian Burial was Friday at St. Peter Church with the 
Rev. Martin Quigley officiating.
     Graveside services were at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla, Wash.
