The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 25, 1988
Mildred P. Ferrell, 71, died March 12 at the Wallowa County Nursing Home.

She was born July 9, 1916 in Montrose, Colo.  She moved to The Dalles as a 
young girl where she graduated from high school.  She and her family moved to 
Enterprise in 1960, which was her permanent home since then.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church.  She served as executive 
secretary to the county school superintendent between 1965 and 1977, at which 
time she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Ferrell of Enterprise, to whom she 
was married in 1941; two daughters, Judith Fletcher, and Nancy Ingram, both of 
Enterprise; her mother who is in the Columbia Basin Nursing Home in The 
Dalles; two brothers, Roy Hattenhauer of Pendleton; and Dick Hattenhauer of 
The Dalles.  She has five grandchildren, all of whom reside in Enterprise.

Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in The Dalles.
