     James Leroy Dunn, 64, a resident of Dufur, died at his home in Dufur on 
Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005.
     He was born Feb. 15, 1941 in Hollister, Mo., the second of three children 
to James Erva and Joyce (Flanery) Dunn. 
     He moved to the Northwest at age two. They moved back and forth between 
Hood River, Dufur and Boyd. 
     He graduated from the Dufur High School. After high school he enlisted in 
the U.S. Marines. 
     He then moved back to Dufur and married Vivian Lee in Dufur on May 20, 
1962. 
     He started working at the Aluminum Plant in The Dalles in 1963 until his 
retirement after forty-two years in 2005. 
     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering around his home and yard, and his 
family, grandchildren, friends and children.
     He is survived by his wife Vivian Dunn of forty-three years, his sons, 
Gregory Dunn and his wife Athena of Kennewick, Wash., Jeffrey Dunn and his 
wife Karen, Salem; three grandchildren Amri, Braeden, Austin and one 
grandchild on the way; his sister, Lola Schwald, Seattle; his brother, Martin 
Dunn of Oxnard, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     Viewing visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home. 
     Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. at Spencer, 
Libby & Powell Funeral Home, with Jim Schwinof and Asa Jenson officiating.    
Committal services will follow at the Dufur Cemetery. 
     Memorial funds may be made to the Dufur Cemetery.
