Memorial services were Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church at Mill A, Washington, near Cook, where she resided. Skamania authorities reported that the girl was playing in tall grass alongside the Cook-Underwood Road and that she stepped onto the road into the path of a truck driven by Greg Cook, 30, Mill A. He was unable to stop, authorities said. No citations were issued. The girl was taken by Life Flight Helicopter from the scene of the accident to the Gresham Hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1982 in The Dalles. Survivors also include a brother, Tyler; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Doolittle, Skamania Landing, Wash., her maternal grandmother, Elaine Landruth, Tucson, Ariz. The Rev. James Gentry conducted memorial services. Private committal under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home, Hood River, is planned.
