She was born in Huntsville, Ark., on Nov. 20, 1931 to Warren and Irene (Davis) Denney. She was raised in Central Washington, mainly around the Okanogan Valley. She married Jerry Webb in 1951, and moved to the The Dalles in 1956, where they raised three children. They were later divorced. In 1972 she married Earl Dooley and they lived briefly in the Pendleton area before returning to The Dalles and purchasing the Honey Hut Cafe, where she was known for her homemade soups and pies. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, weaving and cooking, especially for her family. She is survived by her three children, Corkey Webb and his wife, Joan, Molalla; Karla Porter and her husband, Rick, The Dalles; and Julie Proffitt and her husband, Randy, Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren, Dylan and Molly Webb, Molalla; Jeff Porter and his wife, Emily, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, Mont.; Ben Porter and his wife, Tamara, The Dalles; Dustin Proffitt, Vancouver; and Amanda Proffitt, Seattle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; his parents and one brother. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 5, at noon at the IOOF Cemetery in The Dalles.
