Donnell was born March 10, 1924, in The Dalles, one of two children to Charles Nelson and Mildred (Wilde) Harriman. She grew up and graduated from high school in The Dalles; she lived in Portland; worked for a Portland law office and attended school. She married Raymond B. Donnell on September 3, 1948, in Portland. She worked several different jobs before working for Phipps, Phipps, Dunn and Mobley and later Dick and Dick attorneys-at-law. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Calvary Baptist Church in The Dalles and loved helping others, especially the children at Awana and at Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. She volunteered her time at the Wasco County Pioneers Association's annual gathering and enjoyed meeting and conversing with people. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela R. Armstrong and her husband, Larry, Bellevue, Nebraska; grandchildren, Ray V. Armstrong and Melissa Larsen and great granddaughter, Breanna Raye Armstrong; Jennie L. and Shawn E. Banks and great grandson, Nathan C. Banks, Ruther Glenn, Virginia; her younger brother, Chuck and his wife, Liz Harriman, Woodburn (Oregon) and her Harriman, Donnell and Jones nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray. Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
