He served in Vietnam, the Bay of Pigs and the Korean War. He was a 20-year veteran. He retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was an ordained minister for The House of Prayer for All Nations. Survivors include his spouse, Lucelia V. Dixon; his sons William H. Rogers, Boring; and Samuel S. Rogers, Maryhill; daughters Rebecca L. Cellura, Bismark, N.D.; Jennifer L. Rogers, The Dalles; and Candace S. Wright, The Dalles; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Keith Esther Young, and his father William Earl Dixon.
