Surnames: Dixon, Adkisson, Blaser Lois Ruth Dixon, 76, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home on Saturday, April 12, 2003. She was born November 2, 1926, in The Dalles, the only child to Hans and Agnes (Adkisson) Blaser. She grew up in The Dalles and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1943. She married Robert Dale Dixon in September 1943, in Denver, Colorado. While he was in the Air Force, she worked for her parents at The Dalles Soda Works. In 1956, they bought the Pendleton (Oregon) Bottling Company and operated there until 1987. After selling the bottling company, they moved to the Washington coast. Both had their pilot's license and flew up and down the West Coast. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was Past Matron in The Dalles, and she was active with her sorority in Ocean Park, Washington. She enjoyed making her floral arrangements for weddings and conventions. She also enjoyed national and world ice skating competitions, her home at the beach, and gardening. She is survived by several cousins and her friends. Her husband preceded her in death. At her request, there will be no services held. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Smith Callaway Chapel in care of arrangements.
