He was a resident of The Dalles since 1935. Mr. Dingley was born in Hamilton, Mont., April 2, 1909. After moving to The Dalles, he worked for R.A. Twiss Auto Electric. In 1941, he began working for Jack Docherty Furniture, later returning to work for Twiss. In 1968, he went into his own business, repairing and installing commercial air conditioners and heating units. He retired two years ago. He is survived by his wife, Violet Dingley of the Dalles, whom he married in 1934; one son, Arnold Dingley, Jr., of Camas; two sisters Dorothy Marie Jeffries of Portland and Cornelius Palmer of Kelso. Graveside services were held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles, officiated by Pastor Del Anderson. Memorials are suggested to the Mid- Columbia Senior Center. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
