The Dalles Chronicle, October 19, 2005
     Anne Nina Dierks, 71, a resident of The Dalles, died at her residence on 
Monday, Oct. 17, 2005.
     She was born April 20, 1933, in Portland, Maine, the youngest of seven 
children to George Bradford and Helen Trafton (Ware) Peacock.
     She graduated from Gardiner High School in Massachusetts in 1951. She 
went to Winslow Secretarial School in Boston, Ma. She moved to the San 
Francisco Bay area in 1954. 
     She married Dieter C. Dierks on Oct. 29, 1962 in San Jose, Calif., and 
they had two sons Dieter and David. The couple moved to The Dalles in 1997.
     She taught knitting at her store in San Francisco, Calif., and enjoyed 
painting and crafts.
     She is survived by her husband Dieter “Chris” Dierks, The Dalles; her 
son, David and his wife Jill Dierks, California; and her sister Joeanne 
Gardner, Bellingham, Wash. 
     Private cremation was held at Win-Quatt Crematory in The Dalles and 
arrangements were made by Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.
