The Dalles Chronicle, October 17, 2006
     Alana Diane Deisch, 48, a resident of The Dalles, died at a Portland 
hospital on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006. 

     She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 23, 1958, the oldest of 
three children to David Alan Deal and Sandra Diane (Fink) Deal. She was raised 
in many places following her father’s Navy career and graduated from high 
school in Meade, Kan.

     She married Chester Deisch in Elizabeth City, N.C. on May 2, 1978 and 
resided in The Dalles for 29 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, dogs, 
computers and reading.

     She is survived by her husband, Chester Deisch of The Dalles; her sons, 
Michael Deisch of Corpus Christi, and Chester Deisch III of The Dalles; her 
grandson, Austin Deisch of Wyoming; her mother, Sandra Deal of Corpus Christi; 
her father, David and Marlene Deal of Corpus Christi; her brother, David A. 
Deal of Lewiston, Minn.; nephew, Thomas Deal; her friends, Linda Delzer and 
Jane Ranslam and many others.

     She was preceded in death by her sister, Siena Lupine Deal.
Viewing visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
at Spencer, Libby and Powell Chapel. Burial will be held in Plains, Kan. on 
Oct. 23, 2006.

     Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Hospital, 4805 NE 
Glisan, Portland, OR 97213.
