She was born May 10, 1940 in Cooperstown, N.D., the second of four children to Victor and Ella Marie (Stephens) Ott. She was raised in Wishram and Pasco, Wash. She married Edwin Elmer Day on Sept. 2, 1962 in The Dalles. She was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and current events. Mrs. Day is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Diane and Carl Lewis, The Dalles; Kathy and Larry Ralls, Harrison, Ark.; her son and his wife, Edwin and Debbie Day, Portland; father, Victor Ott, Auburn, Calif.; her brother and his wife, Warren and Idanna Ott, Spokane; two sisters and their spouses, Kathy and Jim Richards and Peggy and Gary Mecham, all of Kennewick, Wash.; grandchildren, Tiffany, Oakland, Calif.; David and Brian, both of The Dalles; Kyla, Holly and Josh, Portland; Jennifer and Joleen; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Deanna Tolman, Ariz., and Bonnie Benson, Coos Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, on Feb. 15, 1996. Private family services will be held at a later date. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory, with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
