The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 20, 1987
     Doyle Lee Dawkins, 47, died Feb. 15 in The Dalles.  He had lived here for 
40 years.
     Mr. Dawkins was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Madera, Calif.
     He is survived by his wife, Patsy Dawkins of The Dalles; a son, Bart 
Dawkins of The Dalles; daughter, Laurie Dawkins of The Dalles; father, Lonnie 
Dawkins of The Dalles; four grandchildren; a sister, Luetta Barrier of The 
Dalles; grandmother, Pearl Dawkins.
     Funeral services were held at Smith Callaway Chapel, followed by 
interment at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in The Dalles.  Pallbearers were Tex 
Elliott, Roger Gibbons, Bill Byram, Robert, Ed and Lonnie Dawkins.
