The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 22, 1984
Charles E. Davis, 93, died at Mid-Columbia Medical Center March 15.

He was born July 4, 1890 in Missouri.

In 1902, he came to Oregon on an immigrant train.  From 1904 until 1976 he 
lived and farmed in Grass Valley and then moved to The Dalles.

He is survived by his wife, Nola R., whom he married in 1938.  Other survivors 
include a stepson, James Dykstre, Steilacoom; a sister, Mrs. Leona Davis-Cox, 
Corvallis; three nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services were Saturday at Smith Callaway Chapel, followed by burial 
services at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
