The Dalles Chronicle, April 7, 2005
     Renee Lynn Davis, 43, a former resident of The Dalles, died on March 15, 
at a Portland hospital after a brief and severe illness.
     She was born Dec. 18, 1961 in The Dalles. In 1962 she was baptized into 
the Faith Lutheran Church where she was later confirmed. She attended school 
in District 9 of The Dalles through her freshman year at Wahtonka. In 1979 she 
married Ted Rosenburg and together they had three children. They divorced in 
1987.
     She and Bob Ruetz (partner) moved to Portland in 1989 and later to Aloha. 
During that time they had two children of their own.
     Always an animal lover, she spent the last two years working at Petco in 
Beaverton and raising her two younger children. Since their move to Aloha she 
spent time assisting professional photographers during holidays as well as 
organized groups such as dance teams. She enjoyed dance, music and bowling.
     Her spare time would find her with the family she loved dearly and 
raising tanks of tropical fish with Bob at home.
     She is survived by her father, David Norman Davis, The Dalles; 
grandfather, Vernon Davis, also The Dalles; her longtime partner, Robert 
Ruetz, Aloha; their two children, Ryan and Tiffany Ruetz, also Aloha; her 
oldest daughter, Alicia Rosenburg, Portland; her only grandchild, Kylie 
Danielle Dougan, several aunts and uncles; two sisters, Shanna Pine and 
Christina Wirkala, both of Naselle; two nieces, Amber and Haley, and a nephew, 
Travis.
     She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Norman Alexander Rowland in 
1982; a son, Kyle David Rosenburg, in 1983; an uncle, David Rowland, in 1984; 
a grandmother, Pauline Foster in 1989; grandparents Rex and Bertha (Mimi) 
Dutro in 1997 and her mother, Nancy Rowland Mills, also in 1997.
     A memorial gathering was held in her honor on March 20 at her home in 
Aloha. A small graveside service was held at the IOOF Cemetery in The Dalles 
on April 8.
     Memorials may be made to Dornbecker Hospital.
