The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 7, 1982
     Mrs. June P. Currie, 59, a resident of The Dalles since 1954, died April 
28 at a Portland hospital.
     She was born June 23, 1922 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
     Mrs. Currie was a member of The Dalles Country Club and Preceptor Alpha 
Nu Sorority.
     Survivors include her husband, Alex M., The Dalles; two sons, Colin (Chip)
Currie, Newberg, and Drew Currie, The Dalles; a daughter, Mrs. Allyson 
Akisada, Honolulu, Hawaii; three grandchildren, Sean Currie, The Dalles; and 
Evin and Gavin Akisada, Honolulu; two brothers, Bob O'Farrell, Cornwell, 
Ontario, Canada, and Howard O'Farrell, Montreal, Quebec, Canada; a sister, 
Mrs. Colleen Davidson, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and several nieces and nephews.
     Memorial services were Monday at Smith Callaway Chapel with the Rev. 
Martin Quigley officiating.  Private cremation was in Portland.
     Memorials are suggested to Dr. Fletcher's Cancer Research Fund, in care 
of the Oregon Health Sciences University, 3181 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, 
Portland, Or. 97201.
