Raymond Crowley Surnames: Crowley, Telfer, Hill, Long, Balea Raymond Crowley, 88, died on January 29, 2003. He was born March 4, 1914 in Ashwood (Oregon) to Elvie and Ellen (Telfer) Crowley. He was a 1932 graduate of Madras (Oregon) High School. He was the owner/operator of Crowley Ranch. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Madras and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Jefferson County Pioneer Association. He married his first wife, Grace Hill on October 27, 1943 in The Dalles and married his second wife, Esther Long on December 20, 1995 at Madras. He enjoyed playing pool, dancing and playing his accordion. He played at Ashwood/Antelope dances and also played once a week at Mt. View Nursing Home. He also enjoyed training and breaking horses. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Balea, Klamath Falls (Oregon) and a brother, Bill Crowley, Madras; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his wives and two sisters. A funeral service was held Monday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Madras. Rosary was on Sunday at Bel Air Colonial Chapel in Madras. Memorials may be made to the Mt.
