The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 23, 1984
Verlie Opal Cox, 91, a former longtime resident of Grass Valley died at a 
Gladstone nursing home Aug. 17.

She was born in Vancouver, Wash., on July 22, 1893.

Survivors include a brother, Lawrence Augee, Bell, Calif.; a sister, Katie 
Blanchard, Montesano, Wash.; and nieces and nephews and cousins.  Her husband, 
Bert Cox, died in 1967.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.  Burial 
was in the Grass Valley Cemetery.
