Ada F. Copeland Obituary Surnames: Copeland, Catrell, Reed, Crowl Ada F. Copeland, 82, a resident of Lyle (Washington), died Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at her home. She was born February 26, 1920, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Henry Bud and Myrtle Kathy (Catrell) Reed. She grew up in Ardmore and married Sanford Emory Copeland there in July 1939. They lived in several locations throughout the southwest before moving to Oregon in 1965. They lived in the Portland area until moving to Goldendale (Washington) in 1986. He died in 1996 and she moved to Lyle in 1997. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and embroidery as well as crafts and cooking, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Billy R. Copeland, Forest Grove (Oregon); Sanford Emory Copeland Jr., Hillsboro (Oregon); and Richard Russell Copeland, Lyle; her brother, Raymond Reed, Portland; a sister, Alene Crowl, Ardmore, Oklahoma and 15 grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at noon at the Dallesport (Washington) Church of Christ, with Elder E.L. Horne presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Columbia Medical Center Home Health program c/o MCMC, 1800 East 19th Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058. Arrangements were by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
