The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 28, 1987
Robert E. Cooper, a long-time resident of The Dalles, died Aug. 20 at a local 
nursing home.  He was 93.

Mr. Cooper was born March 7, 1894, at Wilbur, Oregon.  He and his wife, 
Mildred, were married at Ellensburg, Wash., in 1930.  They had been married 
for 57 years.  He was a retired orchardist.

He is survived by his wife; three nieces, Mrs. Ted Turner of New Jersey, 
Virginia Stevens of Portland and Mrs. Robert Willard of California; two 
nephews, John Cooper and Robert E. Stevens of Portland; and a brother, Jack 
Cooper of Ephrata, Wash.

Funeral services were held Aug. 24 at the Odd Fellows Memorial Mausoleum, the 
Rev. Thornton Gapen officiating.

Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
