Wakley iwakley@msn.com April 17, 2006, 12:58 am The Dalles Chronicle, January 5, 2006 Richard Paul Converse, 53, a resident of The Dalles, died on Jan. 1, 2006. He was born June 17, 1952 in Wellsville, N.Y. He spent his early years in New York, then moved to California where he went to college to be an electrician. He then moved to The Dalles where he spent the rest of his years. Friends say the best day of his life was when he got his medical marijuana card. He is survived by his daughter, Billie Jo Thornhill; friends, Judi Dougharity and Dan Barnhouse, among others; four brothers, Robert, James, Garry and Denis; and one sister, Linda; his mother, Margaret Ann Converse; a stepdaughter, Bobbi Rae Denley; a son-in-law, Patrick Thomas Thornhill; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Auto Converse. His memorial services will be held Jan. 11 at 4 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge.
