The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 25, 1987
Sammy W. Colwash, a lifelong resident of Warm Springs, died at a Pow Wow at 
Window Rock, Ariz. on Sept 12.  He was 50.

Mr. Colwash was born Jan. 10, 1937 in White Swan, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Amelia, of Warm Springs; a son, Thane Roy John 
Colwash; three daughters, Ellen, Lavina and Ouieda Colwash; a brother, Lester 
Tanewasha; his mother Lavina Tanewasha.

Dressing services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home and 
overnight funeral services were at Simnasho Longhouse.

Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
