The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 30, 1987
William John Cody, 82, died at his winter home in Yuma, Ariz., Jan. 21.  He 
was a resident of Tygh Valley since 1949.

Mr. Cody was born in Vandt, Wash., Jan. 1, 1905.  He was a logger in Lyle, 
later moving to Tygh Valley, where he formed Cody Logging Co., which he 
operated until retirement.  He was a member of the Tygh Valley Methodist 
Church.  He married his wife, Daisy, Oct. 25, 1924.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy of Tygh Valley; son William D. Cody of Tygh 
Valley; daughter, Mary Lou Moser of Reno; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-
grandchildren; two brothers.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home, followed 
by interment at The Dalles Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the 
Tygh Valley Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
