May 2003 ********************************************************************************* Surnames: Clayton, Steuck, Pals Terry Lee Clayton, 52, formerly of Summit, South Dakota, died at his home in The Dalles on May 17, 2003. He was born September 6, 1959 in Watertown, South Dakota to Clarence and Emma (Steuck) Clayton. He grew up and lived on the family farm near Summit before settling in The Dalles in 1988. He was an avid fishing enthusiast and golfer as well as being involved in the Eagle Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Joshua and Daniel Clayton, Baltic, South Dakota; a special friend, Judy Dinnell, The Dalles; his brother, Neil (Susan Clayton, Mendota, Illinois, three sisters, Nina (Tony) Pals, Altamont, Illinois; Gail Clayton, Clark, South Dakota; and Barbara Clayton, Bryant, South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 at Crawford Funeral Chapel with the family present from 7 to 8. A service will be held on Thursday, May 22, at Crawford Funeral Chapel followed by burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown, South Dakota. A memorial dinner will be held at The Dalles Eagles Lodge at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21. Local arrangements were by Columbia Cremation & Burial. The Dalles Chronicle May 20, 2003.
