The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 23, 1984
     Peggy C. Clausen, 67, a lifelong resident of the Dufur area, died Monday 
at a local nursing home.

     She was born Feb. 1, 1917 in Seattle, Wash.

     Mrs. Clausen was a member of the Dufur United Methodist Church, the Wasco 
County Cowbelles, and the Old Wasco County Pioneer Association.

     Survivors include her husband, Frederick (Fritz) Clausen, whom she 
married April 3, 1943 in Dufur; two sons, John and Carleton Clausen, both of 
Dufur; a daughter, Susan Brown, Bakeoven; six grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, 
Matthew and Michael Clausen, and Christie and Kathy Brown; her mother, Mrs. 
Hazel Carleton, The Dalles, and a sister, Katherine Argall, Los Angeles.

     Funeral services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Steve Allgeier and Pastor Asa Jenson officiating.  Burial 
will be at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.

     Pallbearers will be Paul Kortge, Harold Armstrong, Gerald Nicholson, John 
McManigal, Francis Hilgen and Eugene Chase Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be 
Wayne Ryan, Dr. Phillip Swartz, Paul Hulse, Norris Brown, Gordon Chrudimsky, 
Bud Hammell, Merril Adkisson, Jack Baumgartner and Robert DePriest.

     Memorials may be made to the Dufur Ambulance Fund in care of Dufur City 
Hall.
