Wakley iwakley@msn.com May 31, 2006, 9:52 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 13, 1987 Lillian Olive Helyer Clark, 90, died March 10 in The Dalles. She was a resident of Sherman and Wasco Counties for many years. Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 28, 1897, in Twin Hills, Ind., moving to Oregon in 1898 with her parents. She was employed as a realtor by Arleigh Black and George Rongerude before her retirement. She married Elner M. Helyer in 1915, and they farmed for many years in Sherman County before moving to The Dalles, where they became involved in real estate. Mr. Helyer died in 1973, and she later married Lewis Clark. She is survived by one son, Gordon Helyer of The Dalles; two daughters, Virginia Helyer of Gresham and Bertha Belshe of Portland; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home, followed by interment at The Dalles Odd Fellows Cemetery.
