The Dalles Chronicle, August 3,  2006
     David Oliver Cheadle, 77, The Dalles, died at a local hospital on Monday, 
July 31, 2006.
     He was born in Detroit, Mich., Dec. 4, 1928, the third of five children 
to Alphonso A. and Ruby M. (Forgue) Cheadle.
     He moved to The Dalles in 1949, where he worked as a baker at Egbert’s 
Bakery & Bakitchen Bakery.
     He married Sharon Jacobs on Feb. 12, 1966, and moved to Santa Barbara, 
Calif., where he worked as a custodian at Safeway. He then moved back to The 
Dalles in 2001.
     He loved to play pool and gamble, he was also a member of St. Peter 
Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge.
     He is survived by his sister, Shirley Mattson; his sister-in-laws, Wynne 
Cheadle and Arlene Cheadle; several nieces and nephews, all of The Dalles.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; his parents; his twin 
brother, Richard and his brothers, Thomas and Gerald.
     At his request, there will be no public services. Private cremation was 
held at Win-Quatt with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of 
arrangements.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St, The Dalles, 
OR 97058.
