Leonard “Troy” Chamness, 29, a resident of Gresham, died at the Triangle Lake 
Campground near Stayton from natural causes after an extended illness on 
Aug.20, 1995.

He was a former resident of Lyle for two years and also a former resident of 
Sandy for many years.

He was born Oct. 10, 1965, the son of Leonard Leroy and Connie Chamness.

Survivors include his wife, Karla; a daughter, Kayli Rae and son Troy Richard 
Chamness, all of Gresham; his father, Leonard L. Chamness and his wife, Kathy; 
his mother, Connie Wolf; brother, Terry Leroy Chamness; sisters, Shelly Dawn 
and Deanna L. Chamness; his grandparents, Ruth and William Waltz, and Betty 
Hertzog; two step brothers, Ken Ness and Travis Noakes and a step sister, Kim 
Pruitt; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at Parklawn 
Cemetery in The Dalles with Dr. James Hazlett officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children in care of 
Smith Callaway Chapel.
