The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 7, 1983
     Mary K. Chamberlain, 93, a resident of Hood River since 1953 and formerly 
a resident of Mosier, died June 28 at the Hood River Care Center.
     She was born Dec. 29, 1889 in Butte, Mont.
     She married her husband George on Dec. 29, 1909.
     Mrs. Chamberlain taught school at the Upper Chenowith School for many 
years and in 1952 she and her husband moved to Hood River.  He died in 1953.
     She was a member of the Hood River Bridge Club and the Super 60s.  She 
had lived at the Care Center since 1981.
     Survivors include a son, Keith, Mosier; a daughter, Montana Struchen, 
Portland; two granddaughters, three great-grandsons and three great-great-
grandchildren.
     Funeral services were Friday at Anderson Funeral Home in Hood River with 
Pastor Larry Ferguson officiating.  Burial was at the Mosier Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the Christian Church in Mosier.
