The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 16, 1984
     William Lawrence Carothers, 21, a lifelong resident of The Dalles, died 
Saturday night in an automobile accident near Moro.

     He was born July 22, 1962 in The Dalles.

     He was a 1980 graduate of The Dalles High School and was employed as a 
heavy equipment operator for Ellett Construction.

     Survivors include his parents, Ferre and Gloria Carothers, The Dalles, a 
brother, Tony, The Dalles; a sister, Debbie Helman, Gresham; a niece and two 
nephews.

     Funeral services were today (Thursday) at First Christian Church with 
Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating.  Burial followed at The Dalles IOOF 
Cemetery.  Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
