The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 3, 1983
     Estella Carlson, 69, a former resident of The Dalles and Dufur, died Oct. 
22 in Portland.
     She was born Oct. 4, 1914 in Trapp Town, Ala.
     Mrs. Carlson was a member of the Church of God in Estacada.
     Survivors include her husband, Fred Carlson, Estacada; a daughter, Pat 
Spradling, El Paso, Tex.; two sons, Maurice Stphenson, Washington, D. C. and 
Phillip Stephenson, Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepdaughter, Judy, San Jose, Calif., 
two stepsons, Jim and Jack Carlson of Portland, her mother, Addie Trapp, 
Silverton; three sisters, Hester Bradley and Sue Pratt, The Dalles, and Ruby 
Olson Lanham, Silverton; a brother, Milford Trapp, The Dalles; five aunts, 
Mary Snider, Alice and Annie Mae Snider, both in Alabama; Leona Demascus, 
Philcampbell, Ala., and Susie Brown, Nevanda, Mo.; an uncle, Garnet Snider, 
The Dalles; several gandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Memorial services were Saturday at the Bible Light House in Silverton 
with Pastor E. E. Landon officiating.
