Surnames: Bykonen, Sippo, McBride, Kohler, Lampi Vera K. Bykonen, 86, a resident of Goldendale (Washington) since November of 2000, died Monday, April 1, 2003 at a care facility in The Dalles. She was born on October 2, 1916 to Otto and Olga Sippo in Floodwood, Minnesota. A resident of Seattle (Washington) for more than 60 years, she moved to Goldendale to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael McBride. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Other survivors include a sister, Leona Kohler, Renton, Washington; a brother, Robert Sippo, Duluth, Minnesota; a son Dale Lampi, Sultan, Washington; three granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. Her life will be celebrated at a family graveside service in Kent, Washington. Local arrangements were by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
