Shine on December 10, 1935. At the age of 17 Maura married Charles P. Keith, the father of her eight children. Maura and Charles (deceased November 1990) parted in 1963. Maura is survived by seven of her eight children (and their families); Deb Denley, Mike Keith, Tony Keith, Andy Keith, Barbara Dyess, Kelly Keith and Joel Hickman. Maura is survived by her siblings: Anne Haller, Tony Shine and wife Eileen, Pat Shine, Barbra Thompson and husband James, Sheila Olsen and husband Earl and numerous nieces and nephews. Maura was preceded in death by: her daughter Brianna in 1961, and Terry Shine, her brother. Maura, married Walter Butzin whom many knew only as "Shorty". Together they bought Terry’s Taxi in The Dalles, Oregon from her brother, our uncle Terry Shine. They owned and operated Terry’s Taxi until the early 1980’s. Walt became the father of Maura’s children whom were loved and respected as his own. Maura suffered Walt’s death as one untethered. In her waning years many close to her came to know her by her nickname, "Molly B." At times "Molly" displayed an acerbic and irreverent wit that may have traumatized many in the medical community. God bless her, that doctor she called a ‘skinny-assed, old goat’ and all those who have provided care during her times of need - Amen. Thank you all. Services are scheduled as follows: Friday, January 23rd, Memorial at St. Peter’s Parrish Hall at 1:00 PM in The Dalles, Oregon. Father Unger will officiate. Father Unger’s dad, Dr. Unger, delivered all of Maura’s children in Redmond, Oregon. Saturday, January 24th, at 10:00 am Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assissi in Bend, Oregon with a gathering at Ann Haller’s afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to organizations supporting Cancer or Parkinsons disease research.
