     Billy G. Batten, 67, a resident of Klickitat, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 
2204 at his home in the company of his family and friends.
     He was born May 20, 1937, in Bonham, Texas to Eugene D. and Minerva Jane 
(Freeman) Batten.
     Following his military service he was a commercial painting supervisor 
for many years.
     Survivors include his wife Lynn Batten of Klickitat, and his children; 
sons Wayne Batten, Vancouver, Wash.; Troy Batten, Ft. Worth, Texas; Robert E. 
Lee Batten, Beaverton; Mark Bauer, Klickitat; Adam Bauer serving on the USS 
Ronald Reagan; daughters Lalonnie Hull, Beaverton; Robyn Vogt, Las Vegas; 
Steph Batten, Camas, Wash.; Also surviving are brothers Charles Batten, Camas; 
Clois Batten, Camas; Keith Batten , Washougal, Wash.; Doug Batten, Camas; Troy 
Batten, Vancouver; his sisters Joy Chadwick, Vancouver; Wonda Box, Washougal; 
and Dottie Barney, Jacksonville, Fla.; as well as 19 grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren and many friends in Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties.
     In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held. The 
family will observe private ceremonies of remembrance with the placement of 
his ashes. 
     Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of The Gorge, 751 Myrtle 
Street, The Dalles, OR 97058. Arrangements are by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
