Kelly J. Barney, 34, a resident of The Dalles, died at a Portland area 
hospital on Aug. 31, 1995 after a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 14, 1960 in Hood River to William H. and Gayla D. (Jones) 
Barney.

She grew up and attended schools in Hood River.  She was employed in several 
different jobs before starting work with Burgerville in The Dalles.  Since 
April of this year, she has been employed at the Kmart store in The Dalles.

She has been attending The Dalles Christian Center and when time allowed a 
ladies Bible Study at the church.  Her other interests included collecting 
carrousel horses.

Survivors include her mother, Gayla Hill, Mosier; her grandmother, Kathryn 
Barney, Boring; two brothers, Bill Barney, Mosier; and Ron Barney, Portland; 
two sisters, Joanne Franz, Hood River, and Janet Kellogg, Mosier; eight nieces 
and nephews; and close friends, Stacey Suda, Carla Smith and Cindy Wickerham, 
all of The Dalles.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Anderson Funeral 
Home in Hood River.  Rev. Terry Mann of The Dalles Christian Center will 
officiate.

Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.

Private family committal will be held later.

Memorials may be made to the Kelly J. Barney Trust Fund in care of Washington 
Federal Savings and Loan in The Dalles, or through Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 
Belmont Road, Hood River.
