The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 22, 1984
Alice May Barnes, 89, a resident of The Dalles, died Saturday at Mid-Columbia 
Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 10, 1894 in Minot, N.D.

She was a member of the Sevenmile Unit of the Home Extension Club and the BAB 
Club.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Barnes whom she married in 1940; a half-
sister, Ruth Larkin, Morehead, Minn.; a son, George Barnes, Salt Lake City, 
Utah.  A son and daughter died earlier.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home with the 
Rev. Egerton Long officiating.  A burial followed in the Odd Fellows 
Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Welby Sharpe, Ray Ralph, Ernest Tibbits, John 
Hall, Mike Fransen and Allen Phillips.

Memorials have been suggested to the Oregon Heart Fund.
