Surnames: Barlow, Morse, Watkins, Gates Diane Linda Barlow, 55, a resident of Medford (Oregon), died at her home on Friday, March 28, 2003. She was born April 25, 1947, in The Dalles to Leonard Wade and Muriel Lois (Morse) Watkins. She grew up in The Dalles and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1965. She received a degree in education in 1969 from what is now Southern Oregon University. She was an elementary school teacher for 33 years. She taught school in Salem (Oregon), Oregon City (Oregon) and Central Point (Oregon) for 29 years. She was a member of several education associations, enjoyed collecting antiques, shopping for bargains, world travel, traveling in the family's motor home and trail riding in the desert in their Jeep. She is survived by her husband, David Olen Barlow, Medford, whom she married on September 19, 1970, in Salem; a son, Dorian, Portland; a daughter, Katarina "Katie", Medford; her parents, Leonard and Muriel Watkins, Salem; a sister, Janet Gates and one grandchild. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Phoenix (Oregon) Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 2nd Street, Phoenix. The Reverend Patricia Vanvertol will officiate.
