     Barbara Lee Balliett, 69, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home in 
The Dalles on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005. 
     She was born in Galion, Ohio, on July 19, 1936, to Harold and Orilla 
(Richard) Baldwin.
     She worked in the restaurant industry and married Ray Erwin Webb in 
Indiana, December 1954. They lived in Marion, Ohio, where she was a homemaker. 
They moved several times while working for the military and retired in 1976 to 
Pine Grove (Maupin).
     Her husband died in 1999. She then moved back to Ohio, where she married 
Bernard Balliett on October 26, 2002.
     She was a volunteer at the Veteran’s Home, Hospice of the Gorge and was a 
member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
     She is survived by her husband, Bernard; three sons, Howard and his wife 
Angie Webb, Pendleton; James and his wife Laura Webb, Yuma, Ariz.; and David 
Webb, US Army in Germany; two stepchildren, Jeffrey Lee Balliett, Texas; and 
Judith Balliett, Galion, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, three step grandchildren; a 
daughter-in-law, Michaela Webb, The Dalles; and numerous nephews and nieces. 
     She was preceded in death by her sister Lucille Sausler, two brothers 
Eugene and Donald Baldwin and her parents, Harold and Orilla Baldwin.
     Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
at Spencer Libby and Powell Funeral Home. Services will be held at Faith 
Lutheran Church at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 8. 
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
