The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 7, 1984
     Ray William Angell, 96, died following a brief illness, May 30.

     He was born June 27, 1887 to Oscar and Minnie Angell on their farm on 
Eightmile.

     Survivors include a son, Vern, The Dalles; a daughter, Eva Heckman, 
Portland; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-
grandchildren.  His wife Grace died in 1974.

     Graveside services were held June 1, at Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Spencer, 
Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
