The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 27, 1983
     Lula Anderson, 97, a former resident of The Dalles died Sunday at her 
home in Hood River.
     She was born Nov. 2, 1895 in Baker.
     Mrs. Anderson grew up in Burley, Idaho and married Marvin Anderson in 
that city on Sept. 28, 1932.  In 1943, the couple moved to Portland and lived 
there until moving to Hermiston in 1947.  In 1953 they moved to The Dalles.  
They remained in The Dalles until November of 1982 when they moved to Hood 
River to live with a daughter.  Mr. Anderson died in August.
     Survivors include three daughters, Alice Roderick, Citrus Heights, 
Calif.; Vida Corpe, Hood River; and Marva Buchholz, Centralia, Wash.; a son, 
Rex Anderson, Boise, 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a sister, 
Stella Alfson, Portland.
     Graveside services were Tuesday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with the Rev. 
James Gentry officiating.
     Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Hood River.  
Anderson Funeral Home in Hood River was in charge of arrangements.
