The Dalles Daily Chronicle, December 19, 1995
     James Richard Almblad, 49, a resident of The Dalles, died in The Dalles 
on Dec. 13, 1995.
     He was born June 25, 1946 in International Falls, Minn., the oldest of 
three children to Donald Francis and Evangeline Marie (Fournier) Almblad.  He 
lived in Minnesota until he was 10, when his family moved to Chicago, where he 
graduated from high school.
     He served as an electrician's mate in the Navy.  He moved to Oregon in 
1974.
     He is survived by his wife, Jean R. Almblad and his children, Dawn, 
Brooke and Mark Almblad, all of Portland; his parents, Donald and Evangeline 
Almblad, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Robert Almblad, Mundelein, Ill.; and 
his sister, Jill Mitchell, Scottsdale.
     Private family services have been held.  Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home was in care of arrangements.
