He was born March 29, 1935, in Valley City, North Dakota, the oldest of four children to Clifford Clinton and Florence Veronica (Kelly) Allen. He married Arlene Joyce Falcon on April 24, 1954, in Trenton, North Dakota and she preceded him in death in October of 2000. He married Alene Elizabeth Kempfer on July 9, 2001 in Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1956, he and Arlene moved to The Dalles and then he moved to Woodburn upon marrying Alene. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and an active member of The Dalles Eagles No. 2126. He held the offices of Local Aerie President four times, Oregon State President 1978-79, Pacific Northwest Regional President, Past Grand Aerie Officer and State Convention Chairman for 11 years. He is survived by his wife Alene, Woodburn; his daughter Rhea Allen, Salem (Oregon); his son, Greg and April Allen, The Dalles; stepchildren, Tom and Kathi Doyle, Sisters (Oregon); Karen and Phil Marvetz, Eugene (Oregon); Daniel Kempfer, Portland; Theresa Kempfer, Puyallup, Washington; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother and wife, Dennis "Wally" and Louetta Allen, Rapid City, South Dakota; two sisters and their spouses, JoAnn and Ralph Anderson, Rugby, North Dakota; Melanie and Jim Gilbertson, Crookston, Minnesota; and his father, Clifford "Pete" C. Allen Sr. He was preceded in death by his son, Clinton in 1981. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church at 11 A.M. on Friday, May 16 with Reverend Todd Unger officiating. Private cremation will follow at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with burial of cremains at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
