The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 4, 1984
     Bernice May Alexander, 63, died Sept. 22, in Oregon City.  She lived in 
Beavercreek and Oregon City for most of her life.
     She was born July 11, 1921 in Oakland.
     Mrs. Alexander was a member of the Oregon City Senior Center and the 
Lower Highland Bible Church.
     Survivors include two sons, George (Robert) Alexander, Dufur, and James 
S. Alexander, Norwalk, Calif.; two daughters, Doris E. Pyatt, Hauila, Hawaii, 
and Edith (Jean) Eckert, Beavercreek; a brother, Harold Johns, Minneapolis, 
Minn., a sister, Rosa Mae Estes, North Bend, and eight grandchildren.
     Funeral services were Thursday at Holman, Hankins, Bowker and Waud 
Funeral Home in Oregon City, with the Rev. Stan Irvine officiating.  Private 
burial services followed in Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City.
     Memorials may be made to the Lower Highlands Bible Church Memorial Fund.
