The Dalles Chronicle, January 4, 2005
     James Christopher Adkison, 19 months, died as the result of a birth 
defect at the local hospital on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004.
     He was born May 15, 2003, in The Dalles to Kindall Wyath Ervin and Katie 
Lynn Adkison.
     He is survived by his parents, Kindall and Katie Adkison, The Dalles; 
grandmother, Betty Ervin, Portland; aunt, Florence Ervin, The Dalles; uncle, 
Jay Ervin, McMinnville; grandparents, Steven and Carol Adkison, The Dalles; 
two aunts, Heather and her husband, Dan Thomson, and Bethany Adkison, all of 
The Dalles; great-grandparents, Paul and Barbara Adkison, Dallesport; great-
grandparents, Lewis and Dorothy Johnson, The Dalles; great-great-grandmother, 
Loleta Zumwalt, Goldendale. 
     He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Ervin, in December 
1994, and his uncle, Daniel Adkison, in 1979.
     Memorial services will be held at Gateway Presbyterian Church in The 
Dalles at 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, with Rev. James Hazlett officiating. Private 
interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Cherry Heights Road.      
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
     Memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Presbyterian Church c/o 
Children’s Building Fund (James Adkison), P.O. Box 481, The Dalles, OR 97058.
