Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 5, 2006, 11:44 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 6, 1984 Edgar Rex Adams, died Thursday at Mid Columbia Medical Center. He was 66 and a resident of The Dalles since 1964. He was born July 30, 1918 in Layton Utah. Mr. Adams served in the U. S. Army during World War II and worked as a truck driver in this area until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge and was a 19-year member of the Elks Lodge in Sitka, Alaska. He is survived by this wife, Catherine Adams, The Dalles; three sons, Lynn, Rodney and Stephen, all of the Sacramento area; a daughter, Nancy A. Schroft, Sacramento; a stepson, Ed Schofield, Vancouver, Wash.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jay Adams, Kaysville, Utah; Ben and Lane Adams, both of Clearfield, Utah; and Ardell Adams, Layton; two sisters, Vera Buce and LaVon Coop, both of Clearfield. Funeral services were at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home Tuesday. Burial in the veteran's section of Parklawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oregon Heart Fund.
