Adams, 85, a resident of Moscow, Idaho, died in an assisted living facility in Camano Island, Wash., on April 27, 2005. She was born Aug. 11, 1919, to Joseph and Helen Geiger in The Dalles. She graduated from The Dalles High School and attended the University of Washington. In 1940 she married Lee Gable. He lost his life in 1944 while serving with the U.S.Army in Europe. She worked for several years as a legal secretary and later at the Agriculture Adjustment Agency of the Department of Agriculture. In 1952 she married Byron Adams of Moscow. They had been married 50 years when he died. She volunteered in many ways and enjoyed her years as Camp Fire leader and serving on the Camp Fire board. She was past president of the Catholic Womens League and a member of Chapter AB P.E.O. sisterhood. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling, but was especially happy when at the family cabin on Lake Coeur d’ Alene. Survivors include a son, Kevin Adams, and wife, Cynthia, Moscow; her daughter, Julia Jordanger, and husband, Wayne, Camano Island; grandchildren, Nichole and Dain Adams; and Hunter Jordanger; a brother, Edward Geiger; sisters, Ruth Hammel, and Marguerite Boyd, all of The Dalles Additional Comments: Written permission to reprint given by The Dalles Chronicle, The Dalles, Oregon, Dan Spatz, Editor (e-mail dated 3/7/2006).
