He was born February 1, 1934, in Perinton, New York to Harry D. and Mary L. Stedman. He grew up in New York then served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After the service, he settled in Utah, then later moved to Washington State and came to The Dalles in the early 1990's. He worked construction. He is survived by his daughter, Mandy and her husband, Eric Knight, Cornelius (Oregon); his son, Cory Ackerman, Hillsboro (Oregon); grandchildren, Paige and Colton and his sister, Bernice. At his request, no funeral services will be held. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Smith Callaway Chapel in care of arrangements.
