C. Henry and Mrs. Henry, died at 2 o'clock p.m. yesterday, October 30, 1906. The deceased was the only child, was 32 years of age and had been a sufferer four years from tuberculosis, which finally carried her off. Miss Henry was a frequent visitor in Baker City and had many warm friends here as well as in La Grande. Judge Henry and Mrs. Henry are pioneers of Union county and have lived in La Grande some 25 years. Just two years ago Mrs. Henry and Miss Bessie spent a number of months in Arizona, in the hopes that the sunshine and dry climate there would conquor the dread disease in the daughter. Every effort, however, at home and abroad failed to overcome the disease. Miss Henry was cheerful always, the same beautiful Christian and lovely character to the end. A number of Baker friends will attend the funeral services in La Grande which will be announced later. 1 Nov 1906 Funeral Today The funeral of Miss Bessie Henry whose death was noticed in yesterday morning's Democrat will make place at 2:30 this afternoon in La Grande. Mr. and Mrs. George B. Small and Miss Hazel Small are in La Grande to attend the last sad rites.
