Former Canby Man Dies at The Dalles
E.A.Sauers,44 years old,formerly a resident of Canby,died at the Dalles 
hospital Saturday after an illness od about a year.The deceased came here to 
reside with his family for his health,and had been a bedfast for the last six 
weeks.He was born in San Antonio,Texas,on February 18,1881,and is survived by 
five children whose names are as follows: Chalmer,Ella,Gladys,Ruby,and 
frederick.The father,W.F Sauers of Oakland,California,and six brothers,John F 
of Los Anfeles,William F of Santa Cruz,August A of San Fransisco,Herman C of 
Perham,Minn.,Robert and Gus of St Paul,also surviving.Funeral services will be 
held at the Burget and Callaway undertaking chapel at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday 
afternoon and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetary.-The Dalles Chronicle
